Live Purposely: How to live with purpose
This is something a lot of people have trouble with. Either they don't know what their purpose is, or they are having a hard time living it out. Today we will look at some ways we can live out our purpose as Christians.
But before we do that we have to find out our purpose is. Matthew 5:13-16 out of the MSG says
“Let me tell you why you are here. You’re here to be salt-seasoning that brings out the God-flavors of this earth. If you lose your saltiness, how will people taste godliness? You’ve lost your usefulness and will end up in the garbage. “Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.
So what I see, it is our job as Christians is to show the world who Jesus really is, and lead them to him. So let's look at some ways we can do that.
#1 Volunteer
This is a great way to live purposely, it's a great way to show people who God is! Whether you are volunteering at your Church or a food pantry. You can show God's love and lead people to him!
#2 RAOK (Random Acts Of Kindness)
This is probably my favorite, RAOK can be anything from buying someones food, cutting someone's grass or to simply8 smile at everyone you come across. Really anything you could do out of the normal to be kind.
#3 Donate
Do you know a family in need? Of course, you do! This can be one of the most powerful ones. Whether it's giving them clothes, food or money. It will make the biggest impact on their life!
#4 Get out of your comfort zone!
You will never be able to live purposely, if you are in your comfort zone! Joel Osteen once said “I want to challenge you today to get out of your comfort zone. You have so much incredible potential on the inside. God has put gifts and talents in you that you probably don't know anything about.”
I want to tell you about my friend Chase Brown. Chase Brown is the owner and creator of live purposeful apparel. Their entire brand is based on this idea to live for God purpose! Their clothes will encourage you every time you put them on to live purposely, and get out of your comfort zone for God. Which is something we all can Use! Go check them out!!!
